Teple Labs makes small daily games, starting with Daily Plate, a daily food guessing game. We keep only what the games need to work, and we never sell it or use it for ads.
What we store
- A player account. When you first visit, the game creates a guest account in the background, so your plates, stats and streaks are saved. If you make an account, we store your username and a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never ask for your email.
- Your username and friend code. Guests get a random username; signed-in players can choose one. Your username appears on the public leaderboard.
- Your friends list, if you add friends.
- Your games: the guesses you make, whether you used a hint, and when you finished each plate. These are used for your score, stats, badges, the leaderboard and the anonymous "How everyone did" numbers.
- A few settings on your device, like whether you prefer volume or weight measurements.
What other players can see
Only your username and daily score on the leaderboard. "How everyone did" shows totals and typical guesses across all players, never anyone's individual guesses.
Who handles the data
Accounts and game data are stored with Supabase, our database provider. If bot protection is on, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that sign-ins come from real people. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Deleting your data
Email teplelabs@gmail.com from the address on your account (or include your username if you're a guest) and we'll delete your account and games.
Nutrition information
Nutrition values come from USDA FoodData Central and manufacturer labels, are rounded, and are approximate. Daily Plate is a game, not dietary or medical advice.
